ART PRINT – Tusks – Blais Bellenoit (artist)

Tusks, originally oil on board, was the sister piece to Galactic Herd. This painting, like Galactic Herd, was intended to celebrate the majesty and splendor of the elephant and their species. Although at first glance this piece appears to only have one figure, it in fact portrays figures and attempts to capture the communal nature and loving capacity of their species. The title, Tusks, also alludes sadly to one of the main reasons these poor animals are harvested from the landscape and pays homage to their sacrifice.
