ART PRINT – Transmutation – Blais Bellenoit (artist)

Originally an oil painting on canvas, finished in 2016, transmutation is a portrayal of transformation and evolution, a common theme in my work. This piece, like several of my other works, also honors the power of femininity. The subject’s human form is collapsing around her as she transmutes into a new dimensional form and passes from this life. The intention was to capture the journey a living form makes from this life to the afterlife as it leaves the body and rejoins the vastness of all dimensions, time and space.
